Happy new week, friends! My American friends are most likely in Thanksgiving countdown mode, I can hardly believe it’s already that time of year! Anyway, here’s a peek at what my weekend looked like – any highlights from yours?
Friday – Looking back at the weekend, I realized that Friday was the most eventful. My friend Kelley was hosting an event at one of our local Loft stores. I stopped by to support her as well as do my part to bolster the economy (that’s a job I take seriously while my husband does not, hmmphf!)
I tried on some cute pieces and left with three! Loft had 40% off everything (50% off if you’re a cardholder). Sadly it ended at 3am today.
A little sizing information for you. I am wearing a size small in the tops and the denim a size 0 ( I am 5’5″ and 128 pounds). The faux suede pants I tried in a size 4 – they were too large, sagged in the crotch area and slid down a bit. If they had a smaller size I’d have tried them on but they did not. Loft is the home of vanity sizing, so keep that in mind and size down.
Saturday – Football watching! I invited my brother over to watch the game (UF vs. Vanderbilt). We had a great time, he stayed for dinner too. My SIL had taken my niece to a Lacrosse tournament so he was home alone, still recovering from major surgery. He enjoyed getting out of the house. We took no pictures, sorry!
It also turned out to be the day that the painting of our master bedroom and bathroom was finished! Today the tile crew comes back and hopefully by next week we can get the plumber back to hook up all the new fixtures, tub, toilet, etc. We are making progress!
Sunday – So many good sales are happening right now! We bought this TV for our son and I ordered this blanket for us. I made this cute collage of some great Target finds. It features the Mercedes I can actually afford, lol.
I picked up more mineral paint for additional projects. If you haven’t used mineral paint before I highly recommend it. I prefer it over chalk paint – I like the finish better. In fact, I will be repainting my dining room furniture with it. Last summer I used chalk paint but I’ve decided it needs a re-do!
My boys decided to come home on Sunday too. So now we’re all just one cozy bunch with 1.5 bathrooms and lots of construction and mess going on!
