Wear it Now, Wear it Later

On Friday I mentioned that this was one of my favorite purchases. Not only because the quality far exceeds my expectations but because of the versatility. I have certainly shared my love of 2 piece sets before so that’s no surprise. But this one offers the opportunity to wear it now and wear it later.

Wear it Now, Wear it Later

It’s not always easy to do, especially when it comes to knitwear. Living in a hot, humid climate makes it even more difficult. But I found a way and thanks to the fabric in the top, it can work in summer. Would I wear these pieces to an outdoor picnic or bbq? Um, no. But I will wear them to indoor events and activities. What drew me to this idea of wear it now, wear it later is that I have some travel plans coming up in the next year. I’m looking for those pieces that will go the distance. Literally.

Wear it Now

Right now, in the middle of summer, I can wear the top with shorts. I love the look! Since the knit top is lightweight and the sleeves are almost a cap sleeve, it’s surprisingly comfortable. I added a belt and really love the look!

I wouldn’t mind wearing it now, with sandals, if I was going to be indoors and knew the a/c would be working. Honestly, I’d be comfortable wearing it out to dinner. The pants are not sweatshirt material, they are not fleece.

Wear it Later

As soon Fall rolls around, I’ll have no trouble wearing this chic set. Being able to wear a close toed shoe – whether it’s a sneaker, mule, bootie, or loafer, certainly makes this perfect for the upcoming season. Since it’s cozy and comfortable – while also looking so chic – I look forward to taking this on trips. We’re headed to Greece in November and then Italy in March so I’m thinking this will work well for both trips.

Accessories Help

Even though I like being able to wear something for more than just one season, I don’t want to look the same each time. Adding accessories really helps to change that. So in the photos above you see I’m wearing neutral sneakers and a belt bag along with my standard jewelry. I’d probably add a baseball cap too.

When I want to elevate the look, I like the structure that the belt adds. The stretchy belt is a winner and one of my all time favorite Amazon purchases. I really enjoy wearing a crossbody bag as part of my outfit too! I think it helps to add even more shape. Accessories definitely help transition the outfit from season to season you can wear it now, wear it later!
