Black pants are an essential part of a wardrobe and my guess is that you have a pair. But every now and then it helps to think up new and different ways to wear your old stand bys. It keeps things fresh! That said I am happy to share some ways to wear black pants in hopes you’ll find some inspiration!
Ways to Wear Black Pants
Having said that black pants are a wardrobe staple, I’d like you to think of formulas to use when styling them. Adding a blazer, a jacket, a sweater, a blouse or even a kimono or tee can totally transform the look of your black pants.
I own a few pair of black pants but I chose this pair of boot leg mid rise black denim. Why? Well, because the cut is extremely flattering. A boot leg (like a baby flare leg) elongates your leg, creates curves even if you don’t have them and this cut looks good on EVERY BODY. That said, feel free to use whatever black pants you like! The idea here is to help you come up with ways to wear black pants – you can always put your own spin on a look to make it your own.
Styled with a Blazer
Whether your blazer is black, patterned, or a color when styled with black pants you have an instantly chic outfit. This could be worn for work or play. In all of these outfits I am wearing the same booties and bodysuit – I only changed the outer layer.
Styled with a Jacket
Moto jackets or denim jackets look great worn with your black pants. I’m wearing a bodysuit underneath mine but that could easily be swapped for a blouse or tee. For a fun change – and to keep things fresh – try a slightly oversized, longer denim jacket!
Styled with a Short Sleeve Sweater
Long sleeve sweaters are taking a back seat right now to my favorite short sleeve varieties. These are perfect while the weather is still on the warm side. These two are my favorites! One is from Target and the other from Walmart.
I’m going to end Part 1 right here and promise to bring part 2 soon. There are just so many ways to wear black pants. Next time I’ll be focusing on blouses, tees, and a few other options.
