Wardrobe Must Have: Red Cardigan

Let’s talk about a wardrobe workhorse today – a red cardigan. For years I had a standard red cardi but lately I have gravitated towards the longer version. Finding the right shade of red was tricky but I believe I found the right one for my purposes. Such a versatile piece, by the end of the post I hope you realize you need one too!

I am working hard trying to take my own pictures, y’all, the struggle is real. But so is my determination. So, bear with me as I play around and try to figure it all out.

These leopard heels from Walking Cradles are too die for comfortable and beautiful. I am so excited to have them. I ordered a red pair on Black Friday – Macy’s has some insanely good prices on these shoes.

Throw on a pair of joggers and sneakers and you have yourself a match made in comfort heaven. Do my sneakers look a little faded to you? Pay them no nevermind – it’s construction dust! #BloggerFail

Boot cut denim – or even a flare leg looks great with a long cardi too. Perfect for a casual Friday at work. I think a pointed toe shoe or boot does wonders to elongate a leg!

I could hardly wait to wear this sweater with my plaid blouse. I’d say this is the perfect seasonal pairing!

I think the white denim is a nice change but black certainly steps it up! By pairing white denim with brown booties, it’s more seasonally appropriate. So you CAN wear white in fall and winter!

My black faux leather leggings (similar) are always a favorite. A longer cardigan perfectly covers all the areas best left to the imagination!

A red cardigan would look terrific with a skirt or dress too! Once my house is put back together and I have access to all of my clothes, I’ll be playing around some more. Do you have a red cardigan?

The post that caught my eye last week was this one from my friend Nancy, check out her blog, Nancy’s Fashion Style. I cannot wait to recreate this look with my camo pants!
