With 20% off still going strong on dresses at Target this week, I thought it would be a great time to share two of my favorites. One was purchased just last week and the other, well, I have it in 3 colors now. The first was purchased last year and when I realized how much I liked it, I added two more. Maybe you are looking for something to wear for Mother’s Day or another event; these two Spring dresses from Target should be on your short list!
Two Spring Dresses from Target
Target gets a bad rap at times, referred to as fast fashion and the like. I disagree in most instances but do prefer a few of their lines over others. A New Day and Universal Thread are among my favorites. As a long time Target shopper, I can honestly say that I have NEVER gotten rid of a piece of clothing from Target because it fell apart. Usually castaways no longer fit or maybe never fit well in the first place, or maybe my taste changed. They have all been donated and I know someone else is enjoying them.

The two dresses I am highlighting today can easily be dressed up or down making them great wardrobe staples. They’re affordable – even at full price – and come in a variety of sizes and colors.
Short Sleeve V-Neck Dress
The short sleeve v-neck dress from Universal Thread comes in 6 colorways and sizes XS-4X. The dress is made of 100% cotton jersey fabric and has a slit up the front. I find the v-neck to be so flattering, especially if you have a larger chest like I do.

It’s such an easy dress to wear for a variety of occasions because it is easily transformed. It’s also incredibly comfortable. I wore it all day long on Friday – from around 8am until 10:30pm that night. When it got a little cooler I threw on a denim jacket.

A New Day Slip Dress
The slip dress of my dreams is how I refer to this beauty I own in 3 colors! Most slip dresses have thin, spaghetti straps that require a strapless bra. But not this one! The fabric is also substantial enough that it skims the body with clinging and hugging.

Final Thoughts
Dresses are fast becoming my outfit of choice for their ease and comfort. I especially like those that don’t require any special shapewear or care. These two Spring dresses from Target are winners for me, what do you think?
