Two Affordable Spring Tops

Welcome to this week’s edition of Fashion Files! Hopefully you are enjoying some spring weather and transitioning your wardrobe. If you’ve gone through what you own and identified any holes or missing pieces then you might just find what you’re looking for in this post. Maybe, like me, you just need a re-fresh at the start of the season – and in that case – you’re in luck! Today I am sharing two affordable spring tops with you!

Two Affordable Spring Tops

As much as I like budget friendly pieces I will not sacrifice quality. In my opinion it ends up costing more in the long run as we don’t get the cost per wear we’d like. What’s cost per wear? A simple formula whereby you take the cost of the item and divide it by the number of times you wear it. While there’s no magic number, the practice can be very eye opening. If you consider a fast fashion dress you pay $30 for but only wear twice, the cost per wear is $15. Compare that to the cost of a dress that is more moderately priced at, let’s say $90, but you wear it over multiple seasons and have worn it easily 20 times, the cost per wear is $4.50. See? Pays to buy better quality. The two affordable tops I’m sharing today are well made and I believe will yield an excellent cost per wear!

Two Tops

The two tops are so different from one another. The first is a vibrant, long sleeve, button up blouse while the second is a balloon sleeve solid. I believe they both offer plenty of versatility without breaking the bank. To keep things simple I styled both with the same pants, my white trouser jeans. My apologies for the hazy photos – it was a little too bright when I took these.

I am wearing a small in each one. The fabric is impressive and I really like the fit. The printed long sleeve blouse comes in a blue floral as well. The balloon sleeve blouse (the color I have is egret) also comes in a black stripe and an azalea stripe. The Both tops are sturdy cotton and come in sizes XS-XXXL. I think you’d be impressed if you ordered these!
