Top Shop Glen Plaid Suit
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale has come and gone and I am finally sharing the jacket I purchased. Of course I ended up liking it so much I ordered the matching pants too – sadly after the sale. This Top Shop Glen Plaid suit offers so many styling options. I’m sharing several today!
The Top Shop Jacket
The jacket, or blazer, was the piece that caught my eye initially. It’s lined, well made, and has that classic glen plaid. Classic glen plaid is stunning and can be worn so many ways. Last week I wore it with white denim but this week I had other ideas. I wanted to share more work wear looks, business casual if you will.
Faux leather joggers from last year add the right balance. I wore a body suit underneath and threw on my sling backs. They were also a part of the NSale! Below you can see how I wore it with white denim.
Glen Plaid Pants
The glen plaid pants have a wide leg (not too wide) with a slight slit at the ankle. They do run a little long – I am 5’5″ and had to wear a heel. Simply paired with a white button down, these pants certainly are anything but boring.
In warmer months, a sleeveless top in pale pink picks up the hue in the plaid and adds the perfect amount of femininity. Building on the pink theme, my pink linen blazer tops off the pants nicely too!
Top Shop Sizing
This was the first time I had ordered anything from Top Shop. I had heard the sizing is a little different so I consulted the chart. I am wearing a size 8 in both pieces and the fit is perfect. As I mentioned the pants are a bit long but I love the way they drape.
Just like the two piece shorts sets we loved in Summer, the suit offers lots of options for styling. You’ll get more bang for your buck by investing in good, staple pieces like this suit. It’s not trendy, it’s classic and will last for years to come!
