Since we are well past Labor Day by now and it will soon officially be Fall, how about trying an off white, or ecru denim? Truthfully, white all year works here in FL, however, I do understand that some may prefer an alternative to stark white. Last year I tried a pair of cream denim from Target. This year, I was thrilled to find tonal ecru by Paige Denim.

Tonal Ecru Denim Outfit Idea
Tonal ecru isn’t beige or cream, it’s that in between shade that is subtle not stark. It’s just the perfect shade and Paige Denim is a high quality, designer brand. This pair is called the Cindy. It’s a high-rise, straight jean. It’s lean through the leg (not skinny nor tight) and finishes as the ankle with a raw hem.
This pair was on my watch list and I waited for a Labor Day sale to make my move. When Paige had 20% off I immediately clicked add to cart! I ordered a size 28 and they fit perfectly. The minute they arrived I could hardly wait to put them on, in fact they were still warm from being in the UPS truck.

I actually had plans that night so I kept them on. Since it was so hot last Wednesday, I pulled out this new blouse from Banana Republic Factory. These neutral colors are so pretty together and I think nothing is more chic than a tonal outfit.

Even my Amazon jewelry looks more expensive with these pretty pieces! I kept things pretty simple with just my usual – earrings, necklace, and my gold beaded bracelets (also a Labor Day Sale purchase). My strategy is pretty simple when it comes to shopping (as I have mentioned before). I find items I want and watch them for a bit – if they seem to be excluded from sales – like my Lady Jacket – I will pay full price. If a holiday is coming up I wait to see if they will be on sale. I won’t buy something just because it’s on sale, it needs to be something I’d buy anyway, does that make sense?
These were the jeans I bought last year from Target, see the post here. They are still available! This is a good alternative too. I have to say I prefer the Paige; they are lighter, fit better and I prefer the stitching over the ones from Target. But that doesn’t mean these are not a good option.

I hope this gives you some inspiration to try something new! I’ve linked some options below so you can create your own look!
