The Weekend That Was

How’s that for a fancy way to say “Weekend Wrap Up?” In my opinion the weekend begins on Thursday night so let’s start there, shall we?

Thursday, October 15

Our 26th anniversary. You read about it on Friday. I actually took pictures of my food – I had steak fajitas and ate my weight in chips and salsa. I ate so many in fact that I actually felt sick not just Thursday night but all day and night Friday. Why do I do that to myself???

After dinner we took a walk because we both felt so full. It was a nice night. But then the real fun began! I attended a virtual fashion show hosted by Walking Cradles! It was so much fun and I won a $50 gift card – woo hoo!! Thanks to my friend Jodie for telling me about it. I can hardly wait to share my new shoes with you!

Since I didn’t sleep well from eating so much, I had no problem getting up at 4am for my boot camp class. It starts at 5:30 but I like to allow time for my devotional reading and then blog reading before heading to the gym.

Afterwards I came home and worked. My husband had someplace to be so he was gone from 4:30-8:30 so my night looked liked this:

Saturday, October 17

Pumpkin Patch Day! My mother and I brought my niece to the pumpkin patch in Eustis, FL. Normally (pre- Covid) there’s one right around the corner from my house but not this year. So, we drove about 50 minutes but it was worth it.

Hat || Denim || Purse Strap || Boots 20% off with code TBSB20

After the pumpkin patch we watched lots of Disney Channel – Frozen 2 and a slew of Halloween shows. That was pretty much it for Saturday.

Sunday, October 18

A day for all the errands! Between getting ready to head to Nashville on Thursday and our bathroom remodels, we had things to buy! Here’s what I wore…

Tee || Camo Pants || Purse Strap || Similar Wedge Sneakers || Bracelet

We bought this mirror from Lowe’s for one of our bathrooms. Here’s a look at my nails – I painted them while watching tv.

I made dinner and we called it a weekend! I found this recipe for Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers on Instagram:

One More Thing…

Today is my bestie Shelly’s birthday! Shelly is a great friend and I wish her all the best! Stop by and wish her a Happy Birthday here!

How was your weekend? I don’t think the weekend will ever be long enough for me but I’m ready to take on the week! Make this Monday marvelous, friends!
