The Friday Five

Happy almost weekend and welcome to the Friday Five! Today I am sharing five things that have caught my attention and tickled my fancy this week. It’s short, it’s sweet, but hopefully it makes you smile!

The Friday Five

It’s not unusual for me to share drug store cosmetics with you all. But this week it struck me that I should really tell you about those products that I purchase over and over again. So the first of the Friday Five is this Milani setting spray. At only $10 it is a major bargain and it keeps my make up in place just as well as the other more expensive brands. Must have!

Along those same lines is this Elf Primer. It is seriously good and the proof of that is that it’s nearly always sold out! I grabbed the last one at Target on Wednesday. It is water based and I pat it on – your make up will stick to it!

Also earning a place on the Friday Five list is this brilliant idea for a Dulce de leche board. Are you familiar with the butter boards that are making their rounds? Well check out this idea! How fabulous would this be for your next Fall get together? I’m thinking I need to plan something just so I can make and serve it!

Basically you cook two cans of sweetened, condensed milk is your slow cooker for 10 hours on high (fill the slow cooker with water). Remove the cans and let them cool completely. Then take off the lids and pipe the Dulce de leche onto a board and serve with pretzels, fruit, cookies, pieces of chocolate, etc.!

To finish up the Friday Five, take a look at the cooler weather we had one morning this week! I snapped a quick photo of our thermostat because I could not believe how cool it was. Granted it was almost 4:30am but it’s usually in the high 70s or low 80s at that time. This brought me tons of joy!
