The Best of the Week

Well, here we are at the end of another week. They are flying by, aren’t they? In just 8 days my husband and I will be headed to Greece – I can hardly believe it. But before we get to that, it’s time for me to share the best of the week with you!

The Best of the Week

This week I had the pleasure of collaborating with a brand, Heidi Kagan Designs. Heidi Kagan is the genius behind the Shawl That Does It All. It’s beautiful shawl that can be worn 4 ways. They come in about 15 colorways and two different styles: one with a ruffle trim and the other a fur trim. I was gifted one of each. My favorite is the fur trimmed one!

They would make a nice gift for any woman on your list. I’ll be bringing one to Greece with me. My shawl will serve as a great blanket on the plane and then I can wear it while I’m there. You can use the code NEW20 to save 20% on your order.

Since we are traveling over Thanksgiving we are using this weekend to decorate for Christmas. I am very excited to get the house decorated so when we return we can be in full Christmas mode. Have you decorated yet?

Best of JCrew Factory

JCrew Factory recently opened near me and I am beyond excited! The quality is superb and the prices are much more palatable than JCrew. I tried on some things that caught my eye last week. I plan to go back – I have a coupon!

The red slip skirt would be perfect for the holidays and beyond. I love how easily it could be dressed up or down. I tried on the ballet flats with these clothes – they were nice but not nearly cushiony enough for my feet.

I am a total sucker for a plaid shirt – cotton is my preference. I think this plaid is perfect – I love the red and the blue in it. I am wearing a size medium. The blue pants are so nicely made – again, great quality. These pants will stand the test of time, they are so classic!

The white Artist’s tee is a great cotton shirt. The cotton is thicker than a standard tee. I think it looks good alone or layered. The knit blazer is one that gets rave reviews – I never understood it until now. It’s comfortable yet pulled together. I am wearing a size small.

The Little Things

I am off work today in observance of Veteran’s Day (tomorrow, Nov. 11). Having the day reminds me not only of those who have served but also of the little things I take for granted each day. I am also reminded of my very favorite veteran. my dad. Oh how I miss him! These old photos of my dad look so much like my younger son, Collin. It’s so cool to see the resemblance.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate you being here. Please consider signing up to receive my posts by email and following me on Instagram and Pinterest.
