Today we’re sharing Thanksgiving looks – am I the only one thinking it is crazy that it’s only 2 weeks away? The days are flying by. The question of what to wear is always a difficult one for me because I never know what the weather will be like. Some years it’s hot as can be and others it’s a bit more seasonable. Our plans vary as well but usually we spend the day outside.
Of course this year everything is up in the air as my dad’s health continues to decline. One thing I know for sure is that we will make the very best of it – Thanksgiving is my dad’s favorite holiday and each day we have with him is cherished.
I have a few criteria and outfit must meet in order to be considered for Thanksgiving. The first of course is that it needs to be comfortable – not sloppy and not leggings. I prefer pants and they need to button and zip to help me from overeating. The other consideration is color. I usually prefer traditional fall colors – rust, burgundy, mustard. Finally no matter what I wear it can’t be fussy – nothing with difficult buttons, sleeves that will drag through gravy, necklines that need to be pinned, or fabrics that look wrinkled. I want to enjoy the day and not worry about my clothes.
This year I decided to wear something that meets most of my criteria. I shared these pants just yesterday here. Today I tucked in this new white blouse from Amazon, added my leopard belt and my open toe booties. When I put this on I immediately decided this was the outfit.
I think leopard and floral look so good together so this was an easy pairing. This white bouse was a steal and is the perfect length for tucking! I’m wearing it in a small. It comes in 8 colors and is under $20! I’m thinking of getting it in a few other colors. Sorry about the wrinkles – no time to iron, it came out of the box and on the body.
