Long cardigans are what I gravitate towards when the weather cools. In summer I grab kimonos but in fall and winter I am a long cardigan lover! In my opinion they add that finishing touch while also providing a little warmth. So far we haven’t had any really cool days so there’s no need for anything heavier.
Each year I collect a few more. They look great with skirts, dresses, jeans, and pants. I am finding myself reaching for the longer ones even more than the traditional short versions.
So far this striped cardigan from Amazon has been a favorite. I love the colors and the wide stripes. It’s not too long and it’s well made.

I recently purchased this chenille long cardigan. While shopping with my boys and my friend Windy – she spotted it and the sale price made it less than $10! The neutral colors and soft, cozy chenille mean I’ll grab it whenever I can!
The weather finally got cool on Sunday so I whipped this baby out! I am wearing a tank underneath, because, well, it’s Florida and cool means cool not cold. My easy, pull on pants (I call them pleggings) completed my cozy look!
A long cardigan is a wardrobe essential in my opinion. I like the coverage and the style they add to any outfit! Take a look at some other ways I’ve worn long cardigans or dusters below.
So are you with me? Do you love a long cardigan as much as me? I found some great options – including a few that are currently on my radar!
