Styling a Flannel Shirt & Link Up

Last Friday I teased you with this pretty flannel top and today the flat lay comes to life!

A little back story in case you’re new here. I live in Orlando, FL and this year it has been so hot! I’m talking upper 80’s. But this week, this week, it will actually feel like winter so I’ll be wearing this get up TODAY! I am a cold weather lover and as soon as I hear it’s headed our way I start scheming! P.S. your eyes are not deceiving you, I swapped out the blue denim for my new black denim.

Oh hey, don’t mind me. I’m just livin’ my dream!

I hope you scooped up this bright and fabulous flannel for under $7 when I shared it last week. Darn it’s good! I ordered a large and love the slightly oversized fit. As a cuffed sleeve lover I can report that it actually has button tabs to keep your cuffs in place!

I mentioned on Monday that I ended up with a new pair of Old Navy black denim – well here they are! I am loving them! I am super impressed with the Daily Ritual jeans I tried on last week but really wanted solid black so I did have to return the gunmetal color I tried as part of Prime Wardrobe. I had every intention of ordering them in black but then I found these and they were half the price! So that’s the story – I never want to mislead you and I’ll be as transparent as possible, price speaks to me!

I’m a sucker for two things: a monogram and leopard. Pretty much any time they’re an option I choose them. I bought this vest last year from Kohl’s because it is lightweight and I don’t need a heavier option. I had it monogrammed at a local shop and now it’s perfect!
