Happy Monday, friends! Today I am sharing a few recent purchases that have impressed me. With Memorial Day weekend coming up and beach and pool days ahead, you’ll want to scoop these up for yourself! Don’t forget that tonight at 7:30PM EST I am hosting an Instagram Live with my bestie Shelly from The Queen in Between.

Purchase #1
Cutest Red, White, and Blue Gingham Top
This top is the absolute cutest and the fit is great! The tie detail allows you to adjust for the perfect fit. Since it’s rather flowy, stick to a slimmer bottom for a better look. I love it with shorts, a skirt, or white denim (of course blue denim would work well too). I am wearing a medium in the top for reference.

Purchase #2
Water Shoes (seen above and below)
Hello cute $10 beach shoes. I usually wear flip flops but I noticed last summer that my feet were sliding and that made me nervous. The last thing I want is a sprained ankle or worse. I’ve been ogling these knock off Birks from different retailers and when I saw these were only $10 from Target I clicked “add to cart” – they run TTS and will serve all my water shoe needs at a fraction of the cost of Birks (and they come in 6 different colorways). Happy me!
Purchase #3
Cute and trendy tee from Target (they refer to it as a tank, I think of it as a tee). Take me back to the 80’s please with this one. A trendy take on the 80’s muscle tee but with a more relaxed fit to make it more modern. I love this, it’s well made and the price is right at just $10 and it comes in 5 different colorways (I am wearing a small).

Purchase #4
This gorgeous bag is beyond expectation. I love the wooden handles, the fringe, the colors – the quality is top notch. It also so roomy and would be great to take to the beach, the pool, or use as your handbag this summer. Impressed with this one for sure. The website does not do this one justice at all.

What we did this weekend…
I finished painting my dining room furniture – whew! Now I’m on to my next project – the adjacent living room that is need of an overhaul. On Saturday we went to a few antique stores and I found a cabinet for my jewelry. It had been housed in my antique secretary desk that is now in my dining room. This piece is the perfect size and I love the charm of an old piece!

We had lunch at a Greek restaurant and I had an authentic Greek salad that was delicious.

On Sunday we went to breakfast at First Watch – my older son sent me a gift card for Mother’s Day so we had breakfast on him! After that we ran a few errands before heading home.
Our younger son has been celebrating a best friend’s 21st birthday at Epcot. It’s a weekend long celebration and the family rented a house out there so everyone could stay and enjoy!
And because we live a pretty fabulous and glamorous life, we ended the weekend with grilled burgers and re-planting crotons in our yard. Do we know how to cap off a weekend or what?
How was yours? Did you do anything special?
