Even though our weekends look quite different than what’s typical they are still my favorite and I wish they were longer, anyone else? I just enjoy the slower pace, the ability to take long walks whenever I want, and of course wake up later.

Friday wrapped up a 3 day virtual training I attended. It was exhausting but worth it. I am now a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer! If you are an educator and don’t know about it you soon will. By the time we finished Friday night I was spent. My husband and the boys ordered dinner from 4 Rivers BBQ and I made myself nachos and enjoyed 2 glasses of wine. My husband and I watched The Sopranos (we are on the last season). I did not sleep well Wednesday or Thursday nights so I took a melatonin before bed and…

I slept until 8:30 on Saturday morning! Oh, it felt so good. I had my coffee, my devotional and then went for my walk. Last week I set a goal to walk/run the outdoor stairwell at a parking garage on UCF’s campus. The goal was to run up and walk down the 5 floors, 10 times without stopping. I should also add without touching the banister! I met the goal and when I was done my legs were shaking – ha! I still had to walk over a mile to get home and it started raining so needless to say I got in a good workout.

The rest of Saturday was spent doing laundry, listening to the Thrive blogging conference (it was a free virtual conference), baking, and then heading to Kohl’s to pick up an online order. I ordered this kimono in dusty rose. The online pick up they offer is very impressive – you simply pull up, pop your trunk, call them and they bring it out. They load your trunk and you are on your way!
Another order I placed on Saturday: this dress! I ordered it in hot pink #predictable for Mother’s Day. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Right now all women’s and girls dresses are 30% off (online only) but you have to act quickly because the deal ends Tuesday! Shop all Target Dresses here!
I am also waiting on these shoes in cognac to arrive. I have had great luck with the blush pink pair I ordered last year so I know these are comfortable on my finicky feet!
Saturday night we ordered Mexican and then played Farkle with our friends on Zoom. If you’re missing your social circle I highly recommend jumping on Zoom. You can easily set up a free account and start visiting in minutes!

Sunday meant another long walk, this time I walked a bit deeper into UCF’s campus and by my sorority house. So many memories and oh how I wish I could go back and do things all over again. I think the college years are the best!
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and working on this post! As far as recent purchases go…I am happily shopping again! I gave up clothes shopping for Lent and now I am proceeding carefully given the state of things. But gosh darn, there are some great deals to be had! So that’s the reason for the purchases I made on Saturday. Last week I did pull the trigger and get this blazer. I LOVE it! It’s on sale and I had a gift card from Christmas. I cannot wait to share it in an upcoming post but in the meantime if you need a great blazer I highly recommend this one!
Another purchase I made on Sunday, these shoes. They are now 40% off with free shipping. Since I like the pair I purchased earlier this year these seemed a great choice. A great leopard sandal is an absolute MUST in a wardrobe!
Speaking of great sales, the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale offers a great opportunity to save on brands you rarely catch on sale. Depending on your level you can save anywhere between 10% and 20%. I am at the VIB level so I get 15% off. I am planning to purchase a few things I need to replenish like this powder and this concealer. I may also get this perfume.

That about wraps it up for today. On Wednesday I’ll be back with my Style Six sisters for our weekly link up. If you’re a blogger I hope you’ll join us and if not I hope you’ll find some new blogs to check out!
I would love it if you followed me on Instagram. I have been working on increasing my followers there for the last year. I have practically tripled the number of followers but still have a long way to go. I’d also love it if you followed me on LIKEtoKNOW.it , it’s simple and easy! You download the free app and then you can easily shop my Instagram looks. Right now I have 41 followers and my goal is to get to 100!
So cheers to the week ahead and moving forward with positivity and all good intentions. Let’s set goals that bring us joy and fulfillment and meet them! See ya back here on Wednesday!
