Today is kind of a mish mash of things I have been wanting to share with no real theme except they are all recent purchases. And just like that, a title is born!
While I have been absolutely enjoying all the birthday discounts that have made their way to my inbox, the first top I’m raving about wasn’t purchased with one of those. It’s from my new favorite online destination, JCPenney! How cute is this polka dot top? I wore it out to my birthday dinner on Saturday night (yes it was sunny and our eyes were all closed). It appears mine is sold out but this one is similar and on sale!
Speaking of JCPenney, this blouse is just gorgeous and can be worn over multiple seasons – just add a jacket or cardi!
A few weeks ago I got a stubborn stain on my white jeans. They were several years old and probably needed to retire anyway – are clothes years anything like dog years? I have had good luck with Loft so I ordered a pair from them at the same time I ordered my daisy skirt I posted on Monday. White jeans are a staple in a wardrobe.
I did actually go into Loft and pick up a few things as well using my birthday discount. My fascination with flamingos was indulged with this cute tee. I was also so happy to see worked well with these shorts (plus) I tried on a few months ago that were now on clearance. Never pay full price for anything at Loft – there’s always a sale at Loft! Even better with the new JCPenney top!
Last week when Gibson and Hi Sugar Plum launched their new line at Nordstrom I placed an order. I’ve been reading Cassie’s blog FOREVER and admire her style! I love the colorful pieces! Here’s what I ordered: the one shoulder ruffle top, the tiered skirt (in 2 prints), the button up top, and from the last collaboration the rick rack OTS top (on clearance). All but the OTS top arrived. I really love these pieces! They feel great, they are well made – the skirts are lined, zip up the back and have a hook and eye closure. There are lots of other cute pieces in the line and I love that they have included plus sizes.
I love separates because you can get so much mileage out of them. Of course they look great worn together but these colorful pieces will work so well on their own with other tops and bottoms. They just scream summer, don’t you think?
