The Fridays just keep coming and I am not complaining! This week has been a busy one with holiday celebrations and this weekend will be jam packed as well. Today we are headed to UF to see our son’s girlfriend graduate with her PhD in Chemistry. But before we get to all that, let’s take a look at this week’s Random Friday Favorites.

I’m calling today’s post Random Friday Favorites because I’ve got bits and pieces from clothing, to recipes, to nail polish. This time of year there are so many things happening that my head is spinning from it all!

Clothing Favorites

Last Friday I ordered this cream sweater in a small and I love it! It’s on great sale and will be useful through the spring. It comes in 7 colorways!

I have been enjoying my clothes from Avara too! My velvet blazer and bodysuit have been worn so much this season. As part of Avara’s 12 Deals of Christmas today they are offering 40% off shoes and accessories. I have been loving these silver jeans I bought from Loft and sadly they are sold out. This pair from Express is similar and on sale. Following the metallic trend (which should be around for awhile) I bought this pair of gold denim from Gap. The color is Beachwood Beige so they aren’t ‘in your face glitter gold” but since they are vegan leather they have a sheen. You’ll see them soon – I am hoping they arrive sooner than the anticipated date.

Favorite Recipes

An old favorite recipe of mine is Artichoke Dip. I have had the recipe for over 20 years and used to make it quite often and then stopped. Who knows why but I re-discovered it and have now made it twice in a week! It’s been a hit and it’s so easy! P.S. I sprinkled black pepper on the top!

Hot Artichoke Dip

Easy & delicious!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Course Appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Jars Marinated Artichoke Hearts drain and chop
  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup Kraft Parmesan Cheese not fresh – from the plastic bottle

Instructions
 

  • Combine all 3 ingredients, place in a small baking dish and bake 15 minutes at 350. Serve with Triscuit crackers!

Wednesday night my sorority’s alumnae association hosted a Holiday Dip & Sip where we all brought either a dessert dip or a savory one along with a drink. The dips were delicious! A few standouts: a lobster dip from Aldi (I must get it, it was sooooooo good), a gourmet pizza dip, a cannoli dip, and a peppermint mocha dessert dip. This Easy Pizza Dip from Pioneer Woman looks similar to the one we had but my friend used ricotta cheese not cream cheese. Thought I’d share these just in case you are looking for something easy and delicious for an upcoming event.

Favorite Nail Polish Combo

I may be in the minority here but I don’t enjoy going to the salon to get my nails done. With so many events to attend this month I had considered going to get a dip manicure. I ran out of time and instead painted my own nails. Well, turns out this combo is lasting more than just a day or two! I am so excited! I’m using this Essie nail polish, Essie topcoat, and my favorite fast dry top coat. The color I have is Rock the Runway and I have had it for years!
