Apparently today I have a penchant for the letter “P”! But how could I stop myself from sharing this perfectly plaid puff sleeve and pencil skirt combo!
Yes, you have seen this blouse before but it’s so versatile and with the upcoming holidays I couldn’t help myself. I think I may have found my Christmas Eve outfit!
Skirt # 1 Red Ruffle

My red pencil skirt is a few years old from Target. The red is so festive and I love the asymmetrical ruffle detail up the front. I paired it with my new Walking Cradles heels that I am DYING over. The red is not a perfect match but I couldn’t care less.
See that van in the background? That is progress people – the construction crew came to install light fixtures, touch up paint, and a host of other issues. I also have an update on the toilet issue from Monday. Turns out the company is Canadian and their toilets are built to their specifications, so the company is taking it back! Whew! When I heard the good news I was flushed – #seewhatididthere

I kept the jewelry simple too. My Frannie and Elinor set has come in handy. I think with the ruffle in the skirt, the jewelry can be minimal while still gorgeous.

Skirt #2 Black Pencil Skirt
A black pencil skirt is a wardrobe staple. This outfit is a great example of how you can take a wardrobe staple pair it with a new piece and feel like you have something fresh and new. My skirt is very old but this one is similar and comes in many colorways!

My first inclination was to grab my new Walking Cradles Leopard Pumps. Leopard is a neutral and I do love a good print mix.

Dare I say I almost like the red pumps better? There I said it. I think I do. Also? I am crazy about Walking Cradles shoes, they are gorgeous and sweet on my feet! If you have any kind of issue with your feet and find it hard to get a good, stylish pair check them out. I regret not doing so sooner.

Typically we go to church and then have a big dinner party with my family. Not sure what things will be like this year but I’ll still dress up. What are your plans?
The post that caught my last week was this one from Meadowtree Style – I simply adore this beautiful look!
