How often do you scroll through Pinterest? I do it fairly often as I have become a little more active and grown my followers in recent months. It is true that what you pay attention to you get more of btw. But before I stray too far down this stream of consciousness, let me get to the point. I often find outfit inspiration from others on Pinterest, how about you?

In fact, I have a whole board dedicated to it, you can find it here. I get giddy when I find outfits I can recreate with items I already own. Using pieces from my existing wardrobe in new ways feels fresh and fun; it also reminds me that there are always new possibilities in life, how refreshing!
No secret here that I am a lover of bright colors, especially pink. I’ve never met a hot pink I didn’t like. #truth I do realize that there are some who feel it’s a bit juvenile and not grown up enough or chic enough or elegant enough. To that I say, loud and clear: “Pfhhh!” I’m not interested in dressing for the approval of others and most of the time those casting judgement don’t embody the kind of style I am drawn to anyway, so why worry? I share this, dear readers for your benefit as well, when you find yourself uttering, “I’m not sure I can pull this off “- what exactly does that mean?
These are the looks that inspired me this time, one from Gail of Is This Mutton? and the other from this Influencer. If you don’t know Gail yet, I highly recommend you check her out. She writes thoughtful posts that are honest and intriguing; like this one and this one. I admire her ability to do that as I often struggle with content, but that we’ll save for another time.

Of course I’m drawn to the colors but more than that I love how effortlessly chic these are. These are the kinds of outfits I want to wear and I will, using the things I already own. Granted I don’t have the exact pieces but that’s not necessary – you can put your own spin on what inspires you!

This was so much fun to do, how do you get inspired to style yourself? Are you looking for new ways to wear what’s in your closet?
