Online Shopping: Prime Wardrobe #3

The stars have aligned and today The Blended Blog Monday theme is all about online shopping. Perfect timing since I am ready to share another go round with one of my new favorite services, Prime Wardrobe. You can check out my previous forays with this fun and FREE service here and here.

Just for giggles, I was so excited when I saw our themes for this week all had to do with online shopping I felt a little like this: Elf

Prime Wardrobe is a lot of fun! Especially if you’re looking for something specific for an event or occasion. This time I was on a bit of a mission – I needed a dress for a couple of graduations. Now you will remember I found a dress that I love here. However, I can’t wear the same dress to all the events I have coming up, I mean, what would the paparazzi say? Ha! More honestly, I need something lighter in weight since it is getting hotter by the minute. When I took a good look at my closet I realized that was what was missing.

The first dress I chose I ordered in two sizes, small and medium. I was drawn to it by sweet Fonda from Savvy Southern Chic. This dress did not disappoint. Both sizes fit but the medium was better, I have curves (including my tummy) and I don’t need to have them all on display, ya know? Even after taking these photos I will say this dress is better in person; the photos don’t do it justice.

Even my husband gave this dress a thumb’s up!

It has a rouching detail and flowy bell sleeves. Also? It’s a faux wrap style that provides plenty of coverage. This style is universally flattering.#Floral Dress with Bell Sleeves

The next dress caught my eye because of the color as well as the sleeves. It’s a lightweight swing dress. I have a casual hot pink swing dress last worn here. I think this one photographs better. Why is that important? Well, because the events I’m attending will include pictures with my family and friends and I’d like photographic proof that I looked as good as I felt. Think about that for a minute. How many times have you worn something you loved and then when you saw the pictures you wondered what the heck happened. So my tip is this: even if you aren’t a blogger, take a picture of yourself first and see if you like what you see!#Hot pink bell sleeve dress I am wearing this one in a small. It also comes in navy so if pink isn’t your jam you have another option. I like the white piping and the fact that no foundation garments are required – it doesn’t cling anywhere! #amen#Hot pink dress with bell sleevesMy husband liked this one too!

Up next is a casual dress from Amazon’s Daily Ritual line. My fabulous friend Gina from On the Daily Express raves about how soft this line is so I had to try it! I’ll say this, it is a very soft dress that runs a little large. I am wearing a small and could have sized down. I will also say this – my husband was not a fan. I chose this one for a casual day dress or to wear to the beach so that’s how I styled it. Also? My self tanning was not on point (for my legs) so the color ended up being the same color as my skin. Overall I like the dress and may get it in another color and smaller size.#Daily Ritual Casual Dress I am wearing my Jambu Lilly sandals so this look is comfort all the way!#Daily Ritual Casual Dress

I also ordered a two pack of Amazon Essentials V-neck tees (in white and black) since I am on a mission to find the perfect tee. I’ll be sharing the results of my extensive research #seriouslywhowritesthisstuff on Wednesday.

If you haven’t tried Prime Wardrobe yet I say go for it! It’s a great way to try different brands and styles all in the comfort of your home. This allows you to change shoes, accessories, undergarments if necessary to really make an informed decision BEFORE purchasing. You have a week to try and decide – once time is up you simply package up what you’re returning and send it back. You only pay once you decide to keep something.

Wanna know what I kept? The hot pink dress of course! In the end I consulted my gal pals via Marco Polo and bless their hearts they helped me decide.

Now it’s your turn. What are your favorite places to shop online? I’d love to know! Thanks so much fro stopping by and if you haven’t already done so, please sign up to follow me by email so you never miss one of my earth shattering, life changing posts!
