Merry Monday, friends! I hope the start of this week has you rested and full of joy from the weekend that was and you have a smile on your face about the week ahead. This will be my last post until after Christmas so I thought I’d share what we did over the weekend. It was a fun one!
Oh, What Fun!
I was off on Friday but no one else was. So I walked in the morning with my friend and then picked my niece up for breakfast and shopping. Since my love language is time, I try hard to spend one on one time with those I love. We didn’t take any pictures but had a great day together!

Saturday afternoon we went to a fun little Christmas pop up bar with our friends. The place was tiny and we had to wait to get in (reservations were booked solid through the end of the year) but it was worth it. We had cocktails and a few appetizers. I just enjoyed the vibe so very much – oh, what fun for sure!

Amy said they have the same pop up in her neck of the woods! Guessing it’s a franchise? Brilliant I tell you, I cannot imagine this place not being a success anywhere it popped up (pun totally intended).
After our happy hour we headed to downtown Orlando. Lake Eola is the centerpiece of our downtown and the city did it up right with lights! They had snow falling, a Christmas Market, food trucks, live music, and a drone show! I was blown away at how wonderful it was! So many families were there and the kids were so excited. Honestly, this is what I love about the holidays, the merriment. Everyone is just glowing and excited!

This is way out of my comfort zone btw, I don’t usually go anywhere that crowded. But I am here to tell you that I will go again! I was impressed. Sadly we found out that two drones collided and someone in the crowd was injured and had to go to the hospital. We had no idea!
We had dinner at a great (and very busy) Italian restaurant. I took zero pictures!
Sunday the fun and festiveness continued. We decided that rather than buy my mother and my adopted uncle (he has been my parent’s neighbor for 47 years) a gift we would treat them to lunch and a Christmas show. I purchased tickets to see A Christmas Carol at the Titusville Playhouse and made reservations at Cafe Paradiso. The Titusville Playhouse has a main stage and an outdoor one – the show we saw was at the outdoor stage. I had no idea what to expect but it was incredible!

The day was fabulous! Spending time together was so much better than buying gifts. Usually were all together and it’s hard to have full conversations with so much going on. It was nice to treat them to something they would not have done on their own – they had never been to the playhouse nor the restaurant. In fairness, we only just visited them both ourselves. Titusville is a good 45-50 minutes away from us.
That brings me to where I am right now, on my couch typing this blog post with a very full heart. As we head into this Christmas week, I hope you are filled with joy and peace – and even some excitement. But I’ll also say that this time of year can be very difficult and I know that all too well. If you find yourself in a place of despair I hope you know I am thinking of you and praying for you. I hope you know that it’s temporary – that good things will come again, even if it seems impossible. I hope you know that you have the ability and the power to let go of things that drag you down and steal your peace. I hope you know that forgiveness is more about you than it is the other person and that you can let things go. That’s a lot of hoping I’m doing but you’re worth it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate you being here. Please consider signing up to receive my posts by email and following me on Instagram and Pinterest.
