After the weekend we had I feel like I need another weekend to recover. October 15 – 17 was a busy weekend for us, so I hope you enjoy this weekend wrap up.
Friday, October 15
If you missed my Friday Favorites post you can check it out here. October 15 we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary! We went to dinner at Firebirds and had a great time. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a spinach and lobster queso that was to die for, tender and juicy steaks and then they surprised us with creme brulee cheesecake for dessert. We were stuffed!
This is what I wore for our special occasion!
My Spanx denim arrived on Friday and I was so impressed. They are comfortable and slip on so easily. They run long – I am wearing a medium petite and I’m 5’5″ wearing a 3 inch heel! These booties are also new and so comfortable. They are a great dupe for the Steve Maddens and just half the price!
Saturday, October 16
Weekend morning are my favorite! I love the slower pace and Saturday did not disappoint. I worked on my blog, ran a few errands, and then watched football.
We met out friends for dinner at an Irish Pub – Fiddler on the Green. The only photo I took was of this pear cider I had. It was very refreshing! The food was delicious! I had a house salad with blackened cod and everyone else had traditional Irish fare. I knew I couldn’t eat anything too heavy because we were going to see the new James Bond movie and it’s 3 hours long!
After the movie we went home to greet our son and half of his volleyball team. We hosted them for the night as they had a tournament less than a mile from our house that started at 7:45am on Sunday! Air mattresses and every available surface became a bed. These young men were so polite and made wonderful house guests – their mamas would be proud!
Sunday, October 17
Sunday morning we were up early and spent the majority of the day at the volleyball tournament. My sister, mother, brother, and nieces came. I know it meant a lot to my son to see his family there supporting him and the team. We were so proud!
We went to lunch at Burger U and I had to snap a photo of this – it totally captures the sentiment of fall in Florida!
That wraps up our weekend. I hope you enjoyed the picture overload! The nice thing about the blog is that it serves as a journal or scrapbook of sorts and it will be fun to one day look back on what we did – even if it was exhausting.
I hope you had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun or special? Any highlights? I’d love to know!
