Most of our weekends are rather boring, nothing worthy of a post or wrap up by any stretch of the imagination. But this weekend we actually had plans not only on Friday night but Saturday night as well. Who are we??
Friday
Friday I was up and at ’em early to get to my boot camp class at 5:30am. It always helps get my day off to a good start when the workout is over. After a full work day we went to dinner and a film festival with our besties. We had dinner at St. John’s Steak and Seafood in Sanford. I failed to get pictures of our food but it was very good. I had blackened haddock with broccoli and a side ceasar salad. I also had vodka with club soda and lime – my drink of choice!
I wore my cute green top from Target – and I was so happy I wore pants because the theater was freezing cold! If you follow me on Instagram you know I got this dress and was seriously contemplating wearing it but I decided on pants at the last minute.
The film festival was okay. We enjoyed the theater but the films were very different. Overall it was a great experience and I am glad we did it. The theater has some upcoming concerts we would love to attend so now we have future plans!
After the show we got ice cream – again no photos #badblogger !
Saturday
It’s so nice to sleep in on the weekends. My internal alarm clock still wakes between 4-4:30 but I make myself go back to sleep and usually wake somewhere around 7.
I drank my coffee and worked on the blog while doing laundry. One of my favorite things to do on Saturdays is to look at the “Sneak Peek” of the Target ad on the app. I don’t know why it brings me such joy, but it does. This week women’s Universal Thread jeans are $15! What a deal!
Saturday night we went to a dinner and dance event at my niece’s school. She attends Catholic School and the theme was Denim & Diamonds. Here’s a look at what I wore – and yes, these jeans are Universal Thread.

We had fun and my niece danced the night away – I swear she would not stop and that girl has some moves! It was the cutest thing.
Sunday
A little cleaning, a little reading and then off to the airport to pick up my sister in law and my 16 year old niece. They had spent the weekend in Pittsburgh for lacrosse. I stopped at the grocery store – which I hate to do on a Sunday but it wasn’t too bad.
Every Sunday morning I get a text from my gym reminding me I signed up for 5:30am bootcamp – I won’t lie it kinda ruins my weekend a bit. It kinda feels like having a bucket of ice water dumped on my head!
The rest of the day I did a little baking, more blog work and basically acted like a couch potato. The way my sweet dog Sophie just stares at me all day – if I could only see myself the way she does! Do you have a pet? I swear they see only the good in us and how I wish I could bottle that and make humans see it too!
Anyway, I made this Keto Cloud Bread- it was very good and very light. I started and finished this book – it was so good!
I hope you had a great weekend and that you are now ready for the week ahead! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for visiting today!
