Did you happen to see Monday’s eclipse? I hope everyone wore their protective eye wear and suffered no permanent damage. I was able to borrow a pair of authorized glasses at school and steal a glimpse. Our school district was adamant that all outdoor activities get cancelled and that no one should be allowed outside. That lead to about half of our student body staying home, I think all the hype at people scared to be out in the sun period. It made for an easy day at work and I was thrilled our district didn’t cancel school because then we’d have to make up the day later when we really need a day off. Having fewer kids at school meant I could spend more time chatting with the ones who were there. Let me tell you, kids tell it like it is; they are brutally honest and they have pretty high expectations for me and how I look! Especially our kindergarten students. To be fair, they see a lot of me. In the mornings I have duty on their hall, I have kindergarten lunch duty, and in the afternoon I have kindergarten car duty. Besides their classroom teacher they see an awful lot of old Mrs. Rohr.
At lunch duty on Monday they asked me where my earrings were. Until they asked I hadn’t realized I forgot to wear any! Then they wanted to know why my nails weren’t painted. When I told them I’m not real good about painting my nails I got an eye roll and was told, “all big girls paint their nails” and “Mrs. Rohr you HAVE to paint your nails and wear earrings by tomorrow”! Bossy, right?
So in honor of my kindergarten friends, I’ll share the outfit I wore on Monday, the day of the eclipse. I went for comfort first because in addition to the eclipse we had vision screenings for three grade levels and guess who runs that show? Yup, you guessed it, this girl right here. The jumpsuit I am wearing is one I’ve had for a few years and it’s from Old Navy. I love the print and the fabric because it’s colorful and lightweight. I wear a lightweight jacket with it to work because it has thin straps and the top is too bare for school. It washes like a dream and never needs ironing #keeper.
This jumpsuit in black is similar in style to mine. It would look great with this linen motorcycle jacket or this denim jacket. A pair of cute shoes, like my wedges and a fun necklace like this one or this one would finish this look off perfectly!
Do you have a jumpsuit that is so comfy and easy to wear you jump for joy? If not, give it a try. With some fun accessories you’ll feel as comfortable as if you were wearing pajamas but you’ll look fabulous!

Kellyann
