Dressing for the holidays can be a little tricky where I live. We pretty much live from cold front to cold front, so you never know what the weather will be like for the party you’re planning to go to on December 15th. BTW, I have 2 events that day – breakfast and then a party that night. So while I may plan a couple of outfits in advance I need back ups!
The look I am sharing today is one that might not fly in your neck of the woods but it will be just fine here! I bought these satin pants from Shein. I bought a medium but I think a small would have been better. They have an elastic waist and a belt. I removed the belt and wore this camisole. I purchased it from Nordstrom Rack for $9.97. It is from the Gibson Hi Sugar Plum Collection that debuted in May. It was originally much more expensive! You can check in store for it; I am wearing a medium. It appears to be sold out online.
I chose this outfit because in my opinion it is understated holiday, ya know? Not red or green, no real sparkle but festive nonetheless. Of course I’m adding sparkle with accessories – the pearl accent on my heels and my jewelry.
Now I know some of you may be uncomfortable wearing sleeveless this time of year because your tan isn’t up to par. In Florida I self tan year round but sometimes I drop the ball, like I did here. In that event I pull out my secret weapon. This gel works wonders, the color is immediate and does not transfer. There’s no odor and it washes off the next day. It’s more of a body make up than a self tanner!
Take a look at these tops that would make great additions to your holiday looks – no sparkle or sequins but plenty of style!
