It’s been a long time since I came up with a witty title, I sure hope you get this one because I’m cracking myself up over here. Anyhow, this title comes compliments of this new top. I tend to shy away from tops with lots of smocking because of my larger chest but this one was too cute to pass up. I ordered it along with this field jacket.
For reference I am wearing the top in a medium. I think it works because the smocking is up high enough and doesn’t accentuate my chest.
I decided on this top in part because I was this close to free shipping and I thought it was a great layering piece that could be worn under jackets and cardigans. The colors also spoke to me – I figured it would look great now and later when it no longer feels like it’s a hundred degrees outside!
Let’s get back to the jacket for a minute. I shared the jacket before when I first purchased it in a size medium. It was a little too big so I ordered a small and I like it better! In the cooler months a field jacket is a great wardrobe basic. Old Navy has this one in eight colors! Mine is bubblegum pink although it’s not what I call bubblegum pink – in my mind bubblegum pink is more intense and brighter, this is such a pretty, light color.
This is the perfect jacket to throw on with jeans, shorts, a dress, trousers, or even leggings. The best news is it’s also available in plus sizes. Grab it now before it sells out – I missed out last year so this year I made sure I got one!
