Friday Favorites - Worth the Wait

Hello friends and welcome to the edition of Friday favorites! Today’s theme is worth the wait. Why? Well, a few of the things I’m sharing seem to fall into that category. Besides, it gets a little boring without a theme, right?

Worth the Wait

Let’s start with something personal. Our eldest son recently (Wednesday) moved from Philadelphia to Portland, Maine! Why you might be wondering. Well, his girlfriend (soon to be fiance) took a job there and luckily since our son works remotely they were able to make the move. A little background, she has a PhD in Chemistry and had been doing a Post Doc at UPenn. That ended in February and she has been out of work and looking for a job since then. It’s a tough market when you have a highly specialized degree. She is very excited about the work she’ll be doing so this was worth the wait!

I like to follow my kids on Life360 when they’re on trips. I loved watching him drive from Philly to Portland!

Another favorite for me is that I have been wanting to visit Maine! We booked a trip for November and I can hardly stand myself! I am a big believer that God’s timing is perfect, and there were many times I had to remind them of this, so our trip to Maine will be worth the wait!

Now let’s talk about the superficial stuff – fashion! I have mentioned how much I loved this plaid jacket at JJill. I frequent the website to stalk it and see if it gets marked down so I can pounce! Well, the stars aligned Wednesday night. Not only was it marked down but the Friends & Family sale is on and that means an extra 30% off! Use the code STYLE30 to save for yourself! Enjoy shopping my favorites below.

This is something that you won’t want to wait on – this pretty dress! It’s only $32 and will be so cute for either family photos or the holidays! I am wearing an XS for reference. Don’t wait on this one, it will sell out.

I hope this can serve as a source of encouragement to you or someone you know. You might find yourself in the middle of a rough patch but please know that it will eventually be over. Hang in there!
