Happy Friday, friends! I’m so happy to wrap up the first week back at work after the holidays. My head has been spinning with so many things I want to share with you but with all the cold weather we’ve had lately I decided to sharing how I’m staying warm!
Friday Favorites – Staying Warm!
Living in Central Florida means I have no need for winter gear. Most Floridians would agree that our idea of a winter coat is little more than a sweatshirt. If it’s really cold you wear a hat or a hoodie. But since our son moved to Philadelphia I’ve been slowly building more of a cold weather wardrobe. My goal is staying warm but I also want to look cute!
Favorite Wardrobe Essentials for Staying Warm
Recently I’ve heard so much about fleece lined leggings and tights so I had to grab a pair for our recent trip to Philly. Boy am I glad I did! I was afraid they would be thick and bulky and way too hot but to my surprise they kept me warm and were very comfortable. They don’t look bulky! I am such a fan!
My husband and son ordered long johns and they were so glad they did! They kept them warm and comfortable with no bulk. In fact our son who lives in Philly wants a pair!
I wore this slim fitting tee under just about everything on our trip. Using it as a base layer helped me stay warm. I sized up to a large in this and really enjoyed the fit.
Whenever I travel my concern is always for my feet! That may sound silly but nothing ruins a trip like hurt feet – blisters and pain – no thank you! Traveling to a cooler climate I was concerned about freezing feet! Not wanting to invest in anything expensive, I ordered this pair of boots (these are similar) from Walmart. This was such a smart decision! Not only did they keep my feet toasty warm but they were comfortable! I walked 6 miles in them on the day we spent in NYC. I noticed so many women wearing Uggs in PA & NY.
Another Walmart purchase I’m so glad I made was this coat! It kept me toasty warm and packed up so easily in my Transport Tote. Wearing it when I was cold and being able to stuff into my tote when I was warm was so handy! The hood was a nice feature too.

Today only there is a lightning deal from 8:45am PST – 8:45pm PST on Oaek bras. They are priced under $20! These are very comfortable and soft. Oaek gifted me one and have enjoyed wearing it.
One Last Thing…
