Friday, Friday you handsome devil, I’ve been waiting on you all week! This week has been fairly busy as we wrap up the school year and I am ready for a low key, relaxing weekend. Tonight we have a banquet for my son’s ACE (Architecture,Construction, and Engineering) program but the rest of the weekend is WIDE OPEN! Woo hoo!
Since getting my white ruffle sleeve top and gingham shorts I’ve been scheming different ways to wear them! It’s what I love about separates, so many possibilities! Today I am linking up with Andrea, Narci, and Erika for Friday Favorites – Separates Edition.
Here’s how I originally wore the shorts and the top earlier this week:
My first combination involves styling the gingham shorts in a slightly dressier way, you know, one for more of a girls night out or date night. I recently purchased this black top from Glamour Farms Boutique (online). This top is super cute and is on SALE!!!! I will be wearing my new block heels once they arrive but for now I’m wearing my cork wedges. For fun I added my trusty old pompom clutch. I seriously love this bag! You’ve seen this necklace before because it’s one of my favorites. It goes with everything and instantly adds a little something special. When I travel it’s the one necklace I bring because it’s a wardrobe staple for me.
The white top is so easy style in so many different ways. Who isn’t always on the hunt for a short sleeve white blouse? I love the sleeves, they’re so special without being fussy and the tie detail in the back adds a little interest. Since I showed it before with the gingham shorts I thought I’d wear it with a skirt this time. This skirt is super old and from Target, but I still love it.The quality is outstanding, really, I’ve had it for like 4 years now and it has held up so well. I added a simple necklace and a low wedge heel (similar pair). This is exactly the kind of outfit I wear to work.
As much as I love a dress I love having separates that can be mixed and matched to create endless possibilities. By simply changing out accessories the same pieces can be worn casually or for a dressier occasion. So today, hard working separates are my Friday Favorites! That’s what’s in This Blonde’s Shopping Bag today!
Fashionably,
Kellyann
