The only thing better than a Friday is a one that leads into a long weekend, am I right??? For all of my US friends, I hope you have some time to celebrate Memorial Day. This time of year is filled with so many emotional celebrations from Mother’s Day, to graduations, and end of the year events but we cannot forget those who gave all for our country. As the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, Memorial Day is on my mind right now.
Friday Favorites: On My Mind
The unofficial start of summer usually involves a cook out or party. One of my favorite dishes for any cook out, bbq, or family gathering is this recipe. It’s an old Weight Watchers recipe, called Confetti Corn Salad. It is so good and there is no cooking involved.
Speaking of recipes, my friend Amy, shared this Peruvian Chicken dish. I am making it tonight! Needless to say, food is on my mind!
Also on my mind…Franne Golde. This is a new to me brand I had the opportunity to work with on Instagram. I made a few reels using the pieces I picked out. Spoiler alert: I love everything! I have no code to share and they do not have an affiliate program but I love to tell you about great brands. The collection is high quality, elevated basics. Yesterday I shared my two piece linen shorts set and a few ways to wear the pieces. Banana Republic Factory has a great sale right now and I am absolutely smitten with this classic dress. I think it would be perfect dressed up with a wedge or worn casually with a cute flip flop. Since I saw this blazer last week it has been on my mind. It’s on sale and an extra 25% off so it’s basically free. #girlmath

Recently I purchased a few things I am so anxious to wear! Linen has been on my mind in a big way and I ordered this linen blazer and these joggers from JCrew. I plan to wear both pieces with this tube top from Target. I love the neutrals in this outfit!
At the time I placed the order with BRF for the linen vest and shorts, I also ordered this cropped button up. I was drawn to the color and the stripes. I’m thinking it will be nice to wear as a 3rd piece in the warmer weather – in place of a blazer or cardigan – since it’s so lightweight.
