Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday favorites. October 15 is a big day around here, my husband and I were married on this day 27 years ago!

Favorite #1

Speaking of favorites and anniversaries, typically we don’t buy gifts for one another and instead opt for an “us” gift. Something for our home or an experience. For our 25th we travelled to London, Scotland, and Ireland. Before you get too impressed, in the past we bought a kitchen faucet and even toilets one year. Gifts are not my love language, quality time is so we usually go to dinner too. Spending time with my husband – away from home – is always a favorite. This year I bought us this air fryer/grill combo. So romantic, yes? I’ve wanted an air fryer for some time but they are so big and bulky. The only way I could commit was if it was a combo and could hopefully replace a few other appliances. This one is an indoor grill, air fryer, rice cooker, slow cooker, an d you can bake in it. It’s also on sale!

Target has some great items for the home on sale this week, including this Dyson vacuum cleaner. I used to scoff at the idea that any vacuum would be worth the price but the Dyson has changed my mind. I love mine. It’s so easy to change out the attachments, stores well, it’s lightweight, and it has an amazing suction!

Last week’s favorites included my trip to Nashville. Lisa and I went to a cute shop called Uncommon James. I found a pair of earrings I really liked – I felt I needed a pair I could wear daily that were big enough to show through my hair but not too heavy. These fit the bill! Uncommon James has lots of great pieces and they are affordable. They will not turn green nor will they tarnish. I think they’d make great gifts! Shipping is always free on jewelry orders – score!

The temperature in my neck of the woods is still too hot to feel like fall, but my favorite way to fake it is with sweet smelling candles. This one from Target is my new favorite. I bought the small size to begin with and lit it on Saturday afternoon. It clearly packed a punch scent wise because my whole family room smelled glorious! I picked up a larger one on Monday. This sugared cinnamon candle is definitely a favorite, I bet you’d love it too!

Favorite #4

Decorating for fall is another favorite. If you follow me on Instagram (and I hope you do!) you saw my pour pumpkin. I had seen the technique on Pinterest and felt it was a good fit for my skill level (read: extremely limited capabilities). It was fun and easy to execute! You can use any colors that go with your decor so it’s perfectly customizable. I love the pinks and blues in mine – it goes well with my decor. What do you think?

Favorite #5

My final favorite is going to make your jaw drop. This ring! OMG! It is so beautiful and looks so real yet it’s under $20. Yes, you read that right. Ignore my old hands and take in the splendor of this gorgeous ring. I cannot stop looking at it! Also? Look at those gel nails that are almost 3 weeks old! Mine never last that long and yeah, I know they don’t look good but they are much better than they usually are by now. I splurged and had them done before going to Nashville.

In Case You Missed It

Just in case you missed it this week, I had a few posts you should read. On Monday I shared tips for styling slouchy boots. On Wednesday I shared how to wear white in fall – and look fabulous while doing so!

Until next time…

Whatever your weekend plans may bring, I wish you all the very best. It means so much to me that you have happened upon my little piece of the internet. Take time to renew and feel refreshed and I will see you back here on Monday!
