Since my son returned from school last week I have felt like every day is Mother’s Day around here. No joke, my heart is so happy having him home and having all four of us under one roof! I spent all of last weekend cooking and baking because he missed home cooked meals and then we went shopping on Sunday. My two favorite things are cooking/baking and shopping. However, we’ll all officially celebrate the moms in our lives next weekend. I’ve already purchased gifts for the moms in my family but I have learned over the years that providing a wish list to my husband is the way to go when it comes to getting a gift for me!
My sons always do a nice job on Mother’s Day. Over the years they’ve made cards and other gifts for me which will always be among my favorite things. I love going through the old cards and reading what they wrote to me years ago; seeing their handwriting and drawings just melts my heart! Such sweet memories.
It’s a running joke around here that I always have a wishlist of gifts that can be produced at a moment’s notice. On the other hand my husband and younger son struggle to identify anything they want when their birthdays roll around making it so difficult to shop for them. We have yet to give a gift to our 17 year old (his birthday was in March) because he can’t decide on what he’d like. He’s kicked around a few ideas but we’re still waiting for a final decision. Lucky for them I make gift buying for me super easy because I’m nice like that, lol!
[easy-image-collage id=1284]This dress will be great all Summer long and especially on vacation. Not only will it look cute but it’s not at all fitted so it will be comfortable as well! Since I am now a true believer in my Vionics I plan on adding a few other styles so my feet don’t hurt. It’s amazing how much better my feet feel since I’ve been wearing these to school all day. Of course I am wearing other shoes when we go out and I can handle them for short periods of time but since I found these I am all kinds of excited! They’ll be great with everything from dresses to shorts. To top it off I’d love this necklace. I love the color and it just screams Summer to me. How great will it look with hot pink, white, and black?! This needs to make it’s way to my house very soon!
So there you have it, a few of the items on my wishlist for Mother’s Day. What’s on your wishlist? I’ll see you back here next week where we’ll talk shorts! Have a fabulous weekend!
Fashionably,
Kellyann
