It’s good to be back this fine Friday. I had not planned to take a break last week but one thing led to another and before I knew it, a day off felt right. My work has been so busy lately and my co-worker was on vacation last week. Needless to say I was busier than I needed to be. The sadness that permeated every aspect of life last week only added to the stress. This week feels a bit better so here I am, welcome June!
The beginning of June signals many events but if you live in the south it means Hurricane Season has arrived! Hurricane Season is definitely not one of my favorites but being prepared always helps, Tanya shared some great information here. She lived through Harvey (3 years ago) and I believe hearing from someone’s who’s been there makes all the difference, I hope you’ll give it a read!
This next one I can hardly believe myself but I am absolutely over the moon about my new vacuum. I know, that sounds crazy but y’all it is so good. I’ve had it a few weeks and I can hardly believe how great it is. I always thought Dyson meant over priced and over hyped. I was wrong. I don’t think my floors have ever been this clean! It comes apart so easily and the attachments are so easy to use – I have been vacuuming the walls. It’s incredible!
Turning another year older is always a good thing but even better in my opinion are all the birthday rewards I get from my favorite retailers! I used my Loft Birthday Reward last weekend when I scooped up these favorites.
Speaking of my birthday, my husband bought me the handbag I wanted. It’s everything I hoped for and more!
Nordstrom is having bonus points days! Now through June 14 Nordy Club Members earn 5 points for every dollar spent and cardmembers earn 10 points for every dollar! This is a great time to grab some deals and earn rewards to use later (like when the Anniversary sale rolls around in July). Here are some of my favorites!

A few other favorites? A couple of movies we have watched lately. The Invisible Man and Dark Waters on Amazon were both very good! We laughed so hard watching The Wrong Missy on Netflix! On Amazon I watched the series The Booth at the End, it’s hard to explain but very good – and only 2 seasons long. We are now watching Queen of the South on Netflix and we really like it! Are you watching anything good these days?
