Well, hello December! Time for Friday Favorites, my most anticipated post of the week! Today I am happy to share a favorite sweater, a yummy recipe, a great book, and who knows what else!
Friday Favorite #1
As much as I love sweater weather – or really any time the temps dip below 90, I think sweaters can be boring. I am always on the hunt for sweaters with cute details like interesting colors or patterns. I recently ordered several from Amazon and this one is my favorite. I like the v-neck and the print. I ordered a medium and the fit is spot on; however, if you want a looser fit (like the stock photo) I suggest you order up one size.

Friday Favorite #2
Every holiday my family requests that I make this recipe for Pineapple Dressing. It is not one I concocted myself, and I certainly wish I knew who to give the credit to. I first had it at a MOPS meeting, 21 years ago. It is the perfect side dish to accompany ham – or really anything – but it is sweet and pairs so well with anything savory! Bonus: it is stupid simple to prepare!
Pineapple Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 16 oz Cans of chunk pineapple, drained
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 3/4 C flour
- 2 C shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed & crumbled
- 2 sticks butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Pour into a greased casserole dish (I use a 9 x 13). Bake for 30 minutes!

One of my very favorite things to do is to read a good book. All of my books come from my local library – I am so thrilled they offer home delivery. I recently read Our Woman in Moscow by Beatriz Williams. Historical fiction is quickly becoming a genre that interests me. Have you read this yet? I highly recommend!

On Black Friday I ordered these black flare pants from Spanx (20% off!). Anyway, they arrived and I really like them. They are a tad long so I’m thinking of getting them hemmed just a bit. I love the way they look with this beautiful blue cashmere sweater and my new necklace. I have become obsessed with these vintage creations from Made in the Deep South. They are sold in boutiques like Moxie Tales.
If you are looking for a cashmere sweater, this one came highly recommended. It was $55 and is hand washable- does not require dry cleaning.

Finally, I leave you with this quote. It really resonated with me!

That wraps up my favorites for this week. We have a busy but fun weekend ahead. I hope you do as well!
