Happy Friday, friends! As much as I always love a Friday today is one I love even more. I am off from work today and we are flying to Philadelphia later tonight. It’s a quick trip – we will be home on Monday evening.
Take a look at the weather forecast! I am GIDDY with excitement for cooler weather. Not so much the rain but I’ll take what I can.
Friday Favorites…All the Feels!
By far the best thing to happen this week was my niece’s initiation into my sorority, Kappa Delta. I surprised her at her initiation which took some planning but it was a huge success. It was a super quick trip to Gainesville, while I attended initiation my husband had dinner with our sons and one girlfriend.
All the Feels – Clothing!
I know you know the feeling when you see everyone posting cute clothes from Walmart and you think, “they don’t have that at my Walmart”! Well, I stopped into a Walmart not too far from me and found some super cute things in store! I tried them on – sorry for the filthy mirror. Usually when I know I am trying on clothes I bring supplies to clean the mirror. I am NOT kidding.
In any case, I found some very cute pieces including this sweater dress and duster cardigan. They are sold separately but I would not wear the dress without the cardigan. I also really liked the pants and jeans. Asa rule I order online from Walmart for the best selection but this had me all kinds of excited. New Watch Band
If you have an Apple watch you have probably changed out the band. It’s not my favorite thing to do even though it’s so easy! I was contacted by a brand on Instagram and they offered to send me a few watch bands. I really like what they sent me but my favorite is this braided one! I like it because there are no snaps or buckles and it slides right on. It can be washed in the washing machine too! You can get one here.
Prime Day Deals
Did you shop the Amazon Prime Day deals on Tuesday and Wednesday? Here’s what I bought: this set of pillows and this snail mucin. I have been hearing about the snail mucin for ages and decided to give it a try. I’ll report back after I’ve used it for awhile. Supposedly it helps with texture and brightness. The pillows are a down alternative and the quality is very good. I like them a lot!
I think that about wraps it up for this Friday. I hope your week was a good one. My heart is heavy thinking of all the devastation in Israel and Palestine. Senseless, evil acts that result in absolutely nothing good and the loss of precious human lives, for what? My prayers are for peace.
