Here’s hoping this Friday has you feeling all the excitement of the weekend ahead and for some a long weekend which is even better!
As usual, or what at least seems to be the norm around here, my favorites are all over the place! Pretty much like my thinking!
#1 Cute Easter decorations! So when I shared what’s been in my shopping bag lately I forgot to share a few Easter decorations I picked up. The cutest table runner at TJ Maxx came home with me as well as the sweetest rabbit from Michael’s! I just love these two!
#2 College decision! My youngest son graduates in May and last Friday we heard from the last of the colleges he had applied to. We are super proud to announce we have another Gator in our family! Actually we are thrilled he’ll be joining his older brother at the University of Florida!
#3 My dad’s birthday. So last weekend we celebrated my dear old dad’s birthday. My favorite part was surprising him with tickets to Elton John’s Farewell Tour! My dad has been a huge Elton John fan for as long as I can remember so I asked my sister and brother to chip in and get tickets for my mom and dad to attend the concert in November. He was surprised and it made my heart happy to do this for him! Giving is so much better than receiving!
#4 Transition dress. I purchased this dress last Fall and never wore it! I finally wore it Sunday to church, out to lunch and then the movies. These pictures were taken at the end of the day so excuse the wrinkles (on the dress, mine are there all the time, lol). While this one is no longer available similar styles are for Spring (similar, similar, similar). It really makes a great transition piece. Of course so do my open toe booties!
I’m also loving my Nickel & Suede earrings! Honestly they are so lightweight you’ll forget they’re in your ears!
#5 Cherry Republic Bars! Ok, I decided to give up dessert for Lent but for my dad’s birthday I made these delicious bars. My dad loves cherry so that’s how I made them this time but once Lent is over I’ll make them using blueberries. Seriously so good! I’m a huge fan of anything my friend Andrea makes!
That wraps it up for this week. I am wishing you all a wonderful weekend! We are headed to Tampa for a State Robotics Competition with our son Collin. If you have a long weekend ahead of you I hope it’s a good one!
