Here we are at the very last Friday of January and with 2019 is well under way. Hopefully you feel like I do – Friday came quickly after a shorter work week! So cheers to that!
How do you like that graphic at the top? Impressive, huh? It is to me! My sweet friend Lisa tutored me on all things Pic Monkey and I am so grateful! Remember the goals I talked about on Monday? See? I’m working on them! How about you?
Last weekend both of my boys headed home to celebrate our oldest son’s 21st birthday. I never get tired of seeing these two and we’ve been spoiled.
They’ve been home the last 3 weeks for family events. Unfortunately now the fun is over and will be awhile before we see them again. We took the boys to a new steak house in our area, Delmonico’s and then to the movies to see Glass. They really liked the movie (shhhhh…I fell asleep). I made this delicious cake, it was as good as it looked! Want the recipe? Head over to Andrea’s blog and check out the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup recipe.
I have been loving my new Madewell Tote. I’m not sure if I have ever owned a leather tote like this but let me tell you it is so worth it. It gets better and better with each use and just feels so good! P.s. my jacket is available on sale here!
Shopping on Amazon can be overwhelming at first but with practice it gets easier. I cheat and follow the advice of people I know. Last Saturday these leggings arrived and they are as terrific as Heather of My Glittery Heart said they’d be! They are high waisted and hold that belly in – banishing the muffin top that makes my skin crawl. I don’t know about you but I hate catching a glimpse of it in the mirror when I’m working out. These leggings are terrific and the perfect weight! I ordered a small so I’d say they run TTS. Next time I’m ordering the two pack, it’s a better deal!
This week I started my first ever online bible study! If you’re interested you can join here. We are reading the Lysa Terkeurst’s new book It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way. I am enjoying the online platform and the book is so well written! You can order the book here. It would make a terrific gift for someone who is facing a challenge!
Finally my tiered tray got a Valentine’s Day makeover! I swear these tray are a major trend right now. I bought mine before Christmas and so begins the inaugural year of the tray – I am decorating it for each season. If you want one check out Hobby Lobby or you can order this one from Amazon. You can check out my Pinterest Board board for inspiration. My friend Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom shared hers this week too. I love decorating for all the holidays, how about you?
I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you. We are going to West Palm Beach to see the Downton Abbey Exhibit and I am so excited! My husband and I both liked the show so much so this is extra special, it’s not often we both love something so much!Hop on over to The Blended Blog to link up a post or to check out some new blogs!
