The first Friday of May is upon us and with that lots of excitement! May is full of all kinds of events – Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, teacher appreciation week, graduations, Memorial Day – did I leave anything out? My Friday favorites for this week will touch on almost all of these! Let’s get to it!
Favorite #1 – I am waking up today in Tampa, FL to attend my nephew’s graduation from USF. I am so proud of him! In the fall he will begin working on his PhD in Chemistry at UF! Needless to say my boys are excited to have their cousin join them. This is most definitely a favorite!
Favorite #2 – Sunday is Cinco de Mayo and I can hardly wait! For the last few years I have made my friend Shelly’s (The Queen in Between) Cinco de Mayo recipes, you can read her post here. They are fabulous, easy and delicious!
Favorite #3 – If you are insane like me then you are deep in the throes of decorating your tiered tray. I found some of the cutest summery items at Target in the dollar spot! Dollar Tree is another great place to pick up inexpensive trinkets for your decorating pleasure!
Favorite #4 -With the warm temperatures it is time to up my self tanner game. Honestly I sometimes find myself in a predicament because I’ll want to wear something and realize my self tanner game isn’t up to par. Last year I used this one a few times so I purchased it again this year. Saves a lot of time since you apply it in the shower and then towel off. It also does a great job moisturizing!
Favorite #5 It’s always nice to be pleasantly surprised by a purchase. Two items have really knocked my socks off this week and both are from Amazon. My OTS palm print top exceeded my expectations and I’ll be wearing it this weekend to a party. The other item is this swimsuit. My friend Vicki told me about it and I was leery to say the least. But y’all – it is seriously so good! I got a medium for size reference. It offers great support and the ruching in the tummy area is fabulous. You can’t beat the price! Get it here!
