Happy Thursday friends! Today’s edition of Fashion Files is all about different ways to style a cute, spring dress! It may still be cold where you live but warmer weather is coming! We’ll want to be ready AND I heard that if you dress for spring then the weather will warm up more quickly! That’s absolutely not true by the way. This is the truth: Four Ways to Style a Spring Dress is what I’ve got for you today!

Four Ways to Style a Spring Dress
As soon as the weather heats up, I am looking for any way to stay cool. Dresses are so easy to wear, the perfect one and done piece! But if you wear the same dress, the same way, over and over again it can get a little boring. I hope you’ll take the ideas I’m sharing here and use them with what you already own. Of course, if you are in the market for a cute, spring dress then this one is a winner! It comes in several solid colors and a few other prints and sizes S-XL. For reference, I am wearing a small.
Every Day Style with Flip Flops
As cute as this dress is, it also looks great with flip flops – or a flat sandal of your choice! My flip flops are several years old and so comfortable (Vionics). This is how I’ll wear this pretty dress to work from home, run errands, etc.

Add Fun Accessories
Add some fun accessories like a straw bag, belt, and a little block heel. These clear heels are going on year #3 and I cannot quit them. They were on the pricey side but as much as I’ve worn them, their cost per wear is far better than the less expensive sandals I’ve purchased. The lesson here: don’t be afraid to spend a little more on something that’s better! You end up spending less in the long run!

Add a Blazer
If I worked outside of the home, I’d wear this in a heartbeat! But it would also be great for church or even a baby or bridal shower. The length of this dress is just right – I am almost 5’4″ for reference. If you are not a blazer fan you could always wear a cardigan.

Cute Denim Jacket and Sneakers
I am officially in my casual girl era and sneakers have taken over my closet! For the first time in my life I actually own more sneakers than heels! If you’re unsure about how to wear sneakers with a dress, give it a try! Fashion sneakers – not the ones you wear to work out in – are key. I also think you need to be careful with socks. I prefer a no-show sock. I think it elongates the leg and looks better.
A cute denim jacket goes a long way! I love this one I bought from Walmart last year. It has a puff shoulder and that bit of detail adds a little femininity to the masculine denim fabric. You don’t have to spend a lot on special pieces, I consider this one of my best ever purchases from Walmart! I have linked a similar jacket below.

Your Turn
What did you think of the 4 ways to style a spring dress? Would you wear a spring dress like this? Think of all the fun, spring events you have coming up – egg hunts, Easter Sunday, showers, graduations, Mother’s Day, the list goes on and on. Maybe you have a dress you can style a little differently this spring and add new life into your wardrobe!
