Easter Outfit Ideas

My favorite thing about Easter as a kind was always buying a new dress. Easter outfit ideas back then were simple and easy. We’d go to Sears or JC Penney and find a dress, patent leather shoes, a handbag, and of course lacy ankle socks! I was way more excited about the outfit then the candy that’s for sure.

As a grown up, the same can be said. I could not care less about the candy – I’m all about the fashion! So today, I present a few Easter outfit ideas. Regardless of your plans or weather – there’s something for everyone!

Things to Consider

The first step in planning your Easter outfit is what your day will look like. Are you off to Easter sunrise service? Brunch? Lunch? What’s the weather like? In my neck of the woods the forecast calls for rain and heat – a lovely combination #not.

What to Wear

While dresses are the first thing that comes to mind for Easter, wear what you feel good in. If that means pants then go for it! The most important element in looking good is your confidence so keep that in mind too. If you prefer pants or shorts to dresses or skirts then start there.

Dresses for Easter

Clever Target has 20% off dresses this week – so smart. I love an affordable dress that can be worn again and again. These dresses are available in lots of sizes and colors too. Clearly, I have a theme going on here – give me all the green!

The slip dress is so pretty and I actually purchased it in black as well. I love that it has slits on either side and has the thicker straps that allow a regular bra. The fabric is thicker as well and does a great job concealing lumps and bumps!

I am wearing a small in each of the above dresses for reference I am 5’5″ and 134 pounds with a big chest. Also? I refuse to wear shapewear so I always choose dresses that do not require any of that kind of torture.

Add a Layer

If it’s cooler where you are you can add a layer. And by adding a layer you know I totally mean a blazer! Not really, there are other layers like a denim jacket, cardigan, and kimono. But my heart belongs to a blazer.

Pants or Shorts are A-Okay!

Not feeling a dress or skirt vibe for your Easter outfit? Pants or shorts are a-okay by anyone’s standards. There are so many cute options now too. I am dying over the cute shorts and blazer combinations that make a lovely suit. I think these high-waisted shorts by Express are gorgeous and paired with this blazer, well, stunning! If shorts won’t work, these pants will do the trick. Pretty colors and slightly cropped to show off a fabulous pair of shoes!

The Most Important Element

No matter what Easter outfit you choose (or any outfit in general) the most important element is YOU. The very best version of YOU is one that is happy and feels confident so be sure to make that a priority!
