By now most everyone is tired of winter and reaming of spring! Warmer weather, lighter clothing, and fun colors are all the elements that make us dream of the next season. Here in Florida, this is the type of early spring outfit I reach for time and again – a lightweight sweater, denim, and the perfect heel or sandal.

I am wearing a new to me brand, Royalty for Me. They contacted me through Instagram and gifted me several items, including this pair of white, cropped denim and the white denim jacket below. Their timing was impeccable as I had just ruined a pair of white denim and needed a new pair.
This pair is part of the “hide your muffin top” line offered by the brand. The rise is high and they have two buttons at the waist. The material has some stretch in it and they are very comfortable! The price point is great and they have extended sizing – I love fashion that fits everyone!

The jacket has the same stretch in it as the jeans. I cuffed the sleeves to allow my hot pink sweater to peak through. Since it’s a tunic length, the sweater falls way below the hem of the jacket. If you’re not a fan of the look, you could tuck in the sweater if you’d like – that’s the beauty of stretch denim!
As someone who is short waisted, I thought the overall proportion was better when left untucked. I shared this on my Instagram stories last week and tucked it then but I love the extra pop of color even if it does call attention to my mid section.

I had fun wearing this cute, skinny scarf from Gibby’s Frillery. I ordered it after seeing Jodie share the brand. The beauty of a skinny scarf like this one is that it’s so easy to style – just tie it on! It’s a look I have tried to achieve many times but I always end up with too much scarf.
Gibby’s Frillery is a small business out of Georgia. The owner, Kim, is so sweet! As soon as I ordered my scarf she emailed me to tell me how excited she was for my order. I was excited too when my package arrived with 3 extra scarves! No strings attached, she wrote a note telling me she hoped I’d enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope this post inspires you to try something new – maybe wearing white in February, wearing a skinny neck scarf, or even leaving your top untucked when worn with a cropped jacket. Who knows what might tickle your fancy, that’s the fun in fashion – find a little inspiration somewhere and make it your own!
