Happy Monday!
My son is home from UF for spring break this week and I couldn’t be happier! Unfortunately my school district starts break on the 17th so I still have to work but it’s fabulous to have him home. We both had an emotionally draining week last week so we kicked off his break with a little retail therapy. Saturday night we saw the movie “Get Out” and it was fantastic! But let’s talk fashion, shall we?
This time of year is my absolute favorite, the heat and humidity has not yet kicked in and we still have some cool fronts coming in. In other words I can wear a lightweight jacket or light layers without melting. Today and Wednesday I’m bringing you two looks featuring denim. Awhile back I shared denim from Old Navy in this post.. I’m happy to tell you I am still loving everything about my Old Navy super skinny jeans!
The name of the game when dressing this time of year is transition. Even in sunny Florida we aren’t quite hot enough for full on summer clothing so it’s nice to have a lightweight blazer or jacket to layer over a camisole or tank. Take a look first without the jacket. I wanted to share this camisole with you. It sells out super fast because it’s so popular. Now that I own it I understand why everyone likes it so much. It flows away from the body just enough, it’s not too low cut and the back has adorable double straps. The fabric feels luxurious and it washes up nicely, I’d like to get in black as well. You can see the side of my strapless bra peeking through, I am not a fan of that look but I wanted to share it with you so you could see for yourself how the camisole fits on a real body. There are lots of alternatives on the market for you smaller chested girls so you could avoid having your bra peek out but that isn’t an option for me. I’ve tried a few products that said they offered support #lordhavemercy but they didn’t work.
I like it better with the jacket and it’s how I’d wear it if I were going out to dinner. I’d be freezing in the a/c! I also added my favorite necklace and pom pom clutch along with my leopard heels. These heels are really comfortable. My jacket is old, I bought it several years ago at the Ann Taylor Outlet. The fit is good and since it’s on the shorter side it still looks current. Everything about what I’m wearing is comfortable and so easy to throw on, just perfect for this time of year.
Dressed up denim is what’s in This Blonde’s Shopping Bag today, what’s in yours? How do you dress up denim? I’d love to know, tell me in the comment section below.
Fashionably yours,
Kellyann
