Cutest Dress

Happy Monday friends!

I am glad you are here today. I’ll tell you what, I fell in love with reading blogs because I craved fashion that would look as good on me as it did in the pictures I saw. For years I was an avid magazine reader and got my fashion fix that way. But finding the clothes featured in magazines was a chore and often not in my budget. And then of course there’s the whole fit issue. With the majority of models standing about 5’9″ or so and weighing much less than me, the chances of finding clothing that would look as good on me as it did on them were slim to none. While perusing Pinterest I found my first blog and I was hooked. Bloggers continue to influence my purchases and I hope I can do that for you, my readers. I think it makes all the difference in the world to see clothing on real people who are not airbrushed and photo shopped. And I’ll be honest with you I do not edit my pictures to make myself appear smaller, problem-area free, or blemish free. I do edit to brighten and crop my photos.

So with that background in mind, enter the cutest dress post! One of my favorite bloggers is Andrea Nine, she blogs over at Living on Cloud Nine. So often when I read her blog I find myself thinking, “I have something just like that” or “That is so me” and on, and on. When I showed my husband her blog he was like, “She looks just like you” and I’ll admit we are similar in appearance. I can be her older sister! She also shares terrific recipes that I make for my family and they LOVE. When she did a post about this dress I knew I had to have it!

Once it arrived I was smitten. I love the Boho vibe and the fact that it’s lightweight enough for me to wear year round here in Florida. While Andrea styled hers with boots, the first time I wore mine I wore sandals. Here’s a look at how I styled the cutest dress:

I love the bell sleeves on this baby!  It may be hard to tell from the photos but the front of the dress has a bit of a lace up detail.  What looks like to brown spots in the pictures is actually the bead detail at the bottom of the ties. Great sandal options can be found here and here.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and that you checked out my girl Andrea too!  And allow me to share just one more thing; I have had my eyes opened recently to what it really means to matter to someone.  The world of blogging can be very lonely especially when you’re just starting out.  Afterall I really have no idea if anyone really reads or enjoys my blog unless they comment.  The first time Andrea commented I almost died! An actual, successful blogger took the time to comment on my blog???? It was a pinch me moment. And guess what? She comments regularly and her comments are always so sweet and encouraging. And I really need that. So thank you to all who read and comment, it means the world to me!

The cutest Boho dress is what’s in This Blonde’s Shopping Bag today, I hope you’ll add one to yours!

Fashionably yours,
Kellyann
