Who doesn’t love a good rhyme? A catchy title is half the fun for me the other half is wearing something I love. Today I am showing you the other pair of cropped flares I recently purchased and have worn a ton! Last week I showed you the button fly version from Old Navy.
One of the things I have noticed (and you probably have too) is that the stock photos look much more cropped and the flare is more evident. My guess is the model is upwards of 5’9″ while I am 5’5″. Her legs are toothpicks and mine? I’ll say mine are athletic. That sounds good. One of these days I’ll head in to the actual store and try on a petite and see how that works. More cropped flares may be making their way to me soon – be warned! BTW, I am wearing these in a size 28, they fit TTS.
This pair has a fair amount of stretch, I love the darker color and I am obsessed with the raw hem. Here’s a close up – is that really long thread driving you crazy? I wore this on Tuesday the 19th, it was my husband’s birthday and we were headed out to dinner. Yes, it was tough since my dad had just passed away two days earlier. It was nice to have dinner away from the house and just talk. We sat outside at the restaurant which is one of my very favorite things to do, I wore my peplum jacket and it was the perfect weight as the sun went down and the 85 degree day got cooler.
Before I sign off from this post and wish you a magnificent Monday, I must once again thank you. I started writing this post Saturday morning before my dad’s services and finished it up on Sunday morning. I want you to know that I got through the toughest day of my life so far and I credit all the prayers and positive vibes you sent me for that. I know there will be many more tough days ahead and I do believe I will grieve for my father for the remainder of my life, I loved him so much. I miss his presence in the physical world. So to you I say thank you for thinking of me and my family!
