Chico’s Shorts Review

Chico’s Shorts Review

Summer shorts for women are on sale right now and my Chico’s shorts review may be helpful in finding your dream pair! I’m a huge fan of Chico’s pull on shorts for many reasons but there are a few things you might like to know about the different styles.

Chico’s sizing system is unique and frankly quite smart. Rather than standard sizing they use their own system. Sizing starts at 000 and goes up to a size 4 (also available in petite). The thing about these sizes is that they encompass standard sizes from 0 to 22. To Find your perfect size I suggest consulting this chart.

The Brigitte shorts have a flattering 10 inch inseam and a front panel that is figure flattering. It holds everything in nicely with no evidence of bumps and lumps! They’re comfortable and the fabric is a bit stretchy (76% rayon, 21% nylon , 3% spandex). While I am earing them in the 10″, the Brigitte comes in a 7″ and 13″ variety as well.

The Brigitte sits slim through the hips and thighs, has pockets in the front and faux pockets in the back. They pull on making them not only easy to wear but there’s less bulk at the waist and tummy by design.

Chico’s No-Stain Pull On Shorts

The No-Stain Pull on Shorts are more like classic denim shorts with an 11 inch inseam. The fabric is a blend of cotton, rayon, polyester, and Lycra spandex. They have Bright-White technology that keeps them white up to 20 washes and repels water based stains.

These shorts have faux front pockets but functional back pockets. They have a classic fit and slim leg. I wore the exact same top and shoes with these shorts as I did with the Brigitte. I thought it would be helpful to see the difference – if there is any!

How to Wear Chico’s Shorts

Regardless of which shorts style you prefer from Chico’s, you can easily style them! Wear your Chico’s shorts casually with flat sandals or even a sneaker. Dress them up with a blouse and strappy sandal.

My personal preference is the Brigitte – I prefer the fabric and feel they are a bit dressier. I purchased the Pull-On No Stain shorts but will return them; I think the leg opening on the Brigitte is slimmer and more flattering on me.

This is a great time to grab a pair of these shorts since they’re on sale. Classic shorts like these don’t go out of style and if you live in a warm climate like I do, there are still many more months of shorts weather! What do you think about these shorts? Have you tried Chico’s shorts yet?
