A camel blazer is a wardrobe staple and a classic you’ll reach for over and over again. It’s a versatile pieces worth occupying real estate in your closet. Follow along today and allow me to help you realize the vital role this blazer plays in a well rounded wardrobe.
Friday I shared my camel blazer purchase with you. I searched high and low to find one that I really liked; it had to be reasonably priced (not cheap) and well made. This proved to be harder than anticipated but thanks to Express, I struck gold!
If you’re thinking a camel blazer is only for work, think again. Worn casually a camel blazer adds polish, sophistication, and elevates even the most basic look.
Look #1
For the working woman, a camel blazer is an absolute must. Whether you wear it as part of a suit, or separately, you’ll find it pairs so well with any color. Look #1 features matching pants for a spot on, pulled together outfit. Just add either a button up or even a bodysuit depending on the environment.

Look #2
Breaking up is hard to do, unless you’re a suit! This camel blazer pairs nicely with black pants for a casual but elegant look. I added a black bodysuit and heels – voila! Perfect for date night, girls night out, or possibly work.

Look #3
No doubt denim and a blue oxford benefit from the addition of a camel blazer. In this case, it also provided the extra layer of warmth needed on a chilly day. The loafers were a great, comfortable choice.

How to Find a Camel Blazer
Since a camel blazer is a piece you’ll wear for many years, be sure to find one that is not only a good quality but also fits you well. Check the shoulder area as well as the sleeve length. The sleeve hem should hit just below the wrist. If you are larger busted like me and you know you’ll never actually button the blazer, than don’t concern yourself too much over that. It can be tricky to get all of the proportions aligned when your chest is large. It’s more important for the shoulders and sleeves to be right.
While I love my camel blazer, you may prefer a plaid blazer that could be used in the same way. I am particularly fond of this one from Evereve.
