Blue Bell

How in the world is it only Wednesday?  I feel as though I’ve lived a year this week and we’re only on day 3!  I’ll tell ya what, adjusting to my work schedule has been a challenge, I’m not sleeping well at night because I have a million thoughts running rampant.   On top of that I was afraid I was getting sick but thankfully I’m feeling better!

This blue bell sleeve top (similar)came home with me in June when I went birthday shopping at Nordstrom.  Honestly I haven’t worn it much this Summer but I knew it would be perfect for work. I was attracted to it because navy is one of those colors that works in any season and I adored the sleeves. The fact that it is almost like an eyelet fabric means I won’t overheat either! The good news is that the few times I’ve worn it I have not had to wear a cami underneath just a dark bra.

While there are so many pieces this top will pair well with in my wardrobe I have returning to work on my mind so I chose a blue floral skirt. This skirt is super old from Target (like 3 years?) but I love it. You know what else I love? You guessed it, my new shoes! Ya’ll these are so comfortable! I wore them from 7am until 8:00pm on my first day back to work and not once did I have the urge to kick them off. They are worth every penny.

My necklace is old too but the color was a perfect match to the skirt. Having a great pencil skirt in a fun print gives you lots of styling options, it can be dressed up or down.

Mixing old pieces, like my skirt and necklace, with new pieces like my blouse and shoes is like clicking the refresh button my computer. Suddenly I have a whole new look. Taking a piece with a classic cut like my pencil skirt and adding the on-trend blue bell sleeve blouse updated my look. See, you don’t have to spend a fortune to be stylish. I have come to realize it is necessary to invest in comfortable, well fitting shoes but it’s not necessary to spend a fortune on clothes. Since my pieces are old, I am linking similar items for your shopping pleasure!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate each and every one of you sweet readers and I love reading and answering your comments. Have a marvelous Wednesday and shop on!

Kellyann
