Black and White

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day.  I know some see it as a Hallmark holiday but in all honesty it’s a sweet holiday and a nice excuse to show someone you care.  I’m hoping you all feel loved!  Quite simply I enjoy Valentine’s Day because it’s a fun excuse to decorate and make sweet treats.  It sort of helps to get over the after Christmas let down in my opinion.  And when you work in an elementary school like I do you hear a million times “Happy Valentime’s Day” and it’s so cute it never gets old!

Over the weekend my husband and I went to see La La Land and then had dinner.  I suppose you could call it our private Valentine’s celebration since we were sans kids.  Not only did I love the movie but I loved our dinner out – the weather was perfect for dining outside.  Take a look at what I wore!

This outfit is a combination of old and new.  My top arrived just a few days ago, it’s another great find fromSheIn. Here is my exact top.  I am wearing a medium in it and I’ll tell you what, this is a great top.  It’s a nice thick cotton and feels way more expensive than it’s $13.00 price tag!  Here’s a similar top and I love this one too!

My white denim is old – last year actually, from Old Navy. Once again I am impressed with the quality of this denim. Shopping for white denim is difficult; sometimes the pockets show through or every lump and bump is on display. Not so with this pair! The pockets are actually lined with a nude colored fabric and the denim has enough stretch to hold you in and conceal everything. I’ve seen white denim with a hefty price tag but this pair could stand up to any of those! Mine are from the Rockstar line. I believe this is my exact pair. The mid-rise is super comfortable and they held their shape all night. I couldn’t have been happier!

I wore a comfortable pair of neutral shoes. I love wearing a nude heel with white pants. The nude really elongates the leg and I don’t know anyone who isn’t interested in that! My shoes are by Steve Madden and again they are old but here’s a similar pair.

To add a little interest I chose my favorite clutch from Accessory Concierge. This pom pom clutch is just the best! I love the colors and the pom poms are just too cute.

My earrings are old too, from last summer but these are similar just in red.

I hope you enjoyed this version of black and white and it inspires you. That’s what’s in This Blonde’s Shopping Bag today, are you ready to add something black and white in yours?

Fashionably yours,
Kellyann
