As much as I love the more expensive version, I have a few issues with it. First of all, as a larger chested woman the smocking may not be my best look. Secondly, the thin spaghetti straps mean that I would most likely feel comfortable wearing it with a denim jacket. You know what that means? I will most likely NOT wear it.
But take a look at my dress. I am wearing a regular bra with it – no denim jacket required but one would certainly look good with it. The straps on my dress tie – so you can adjust them to suit you! Although it may be difficult to see in these photos, there are light blue stripes running through it.
Here’s the thing about wearing a dress that is less than $20. It doesn’t have to look like a $20 dress. Here’s how. Add accessories that elevate the look. That’s what I did here. I added my turquoise boho cuff, ring, necklace, and earrings. Totally takes this dress to a better level than had I just thrown on some cheap flip flops. Right? Right.
The only thing better than finding a summer sundress under $20 is being able to wear that dress beyond summer. A denim jacket, a pair of boots and suddenly you have a dress for fall! Do you love it? Better grab it for yourself!
